Meet the Artist Behind Dunn Spunn

Katelyn Dunn fell in love with fiber art at just 11 years old when she first picked up a pair of knitting needles. As she puts it, “It ‘spun’ out of control from there!” What started as a curious hobby quickly grew into a passion. Katelyn became captivated by the entire fiber process—from fleece to finished piece—and dove headfirst into learning everything she could.

Today, her studio, Dunn Spunn, is known for its whimsical, one-of-a-kind art batts. Each blend tells a story, bursting with color, sparkle, and texture that bring to mind everything from beloved book characters to beach pebbles and cozy autumn days. Using an eclectic mix of fibers—mohair, bamboo, alpaca, and plenty of locally sourced wool—Katelyn handcrafts every batt with care, creativity, and a deep love for the craft.
